Small niche companies are becoming increasingly successful in the expanding and highly differentiated marketplace we are in today. At Deep Consulting Solutions, we help these companies grow big while staying effective and delivering the best to their clients.

Do you want to be a part of a no-nonsense consultancy that grows successful and effective businesses using business process improvement, automation, and result-based marketing? Our team is looking for Direct Response Marketers to build and implement effective direct-response campaigns to generate the best customers for our clients' businesses.

 What We Do

We find niche and successful small companies who have problems running their complex internal productions as they scale. The first thing that we do for them is effectively re-organize their operational processes so that they can most effectively attract, service and retain their customers and run their internal production in the way most optimal for quality and profitability. The second thing we do is build and implement a software solution that will administer and enforce the new and improved operation model. The third thing is to expand their newly re-organized business by bringing them their best fitted clients through effective direct response marketing, while making sure that their internal systems are running well to handle the increased volume.

We work with clients on the result basis only and only get paid for the results we deliver once we deliver them.

 Our Marketing Approach

We are a No-BS consulting company with an understanding that everything that is to be done must bring real results that can be deposited into a bank account. Our approach to marketing is no different. We do not believe in "awareness marketing", "getting the name out there", "brand advertising", etc. and do not consider "impressions", "likes", "shares", etc. a metric that must be paid a substantial amount of attention to. We believe that the only real job marketing must do is to attract most optimal clients to the company's offering and then have those clients purchase the offered product/service, and thus we only measure marketing's effectiveness with the amount of clients it brings in and the value of those clients to the company.

 What You Will Do

As the Direct Response Marketer, you will be responsible for putting together and executing direct response marketing campaigns for our client businesses. The end goal of your effort must be enrolled best-fitting customers and generated revenue. You will be assigned to the individual business (which can be either our client company or our company) to work on and provided with all the information and resources necessary to enable you to accomplish the results.

In accomplishing your result, you likely will:
  • Investigate the client business and the market in detail, using background information generated by our business analysis team, information obtained from the client and your own research and analysis;

  • Identify the best audience and precise channel (direct mail, niche ads, email, etc.) to reach them and position the offering to best generate response in the given circumstances;

  • Put together an outreach and follow-up content sequence, along with a conversion funnel to maximize the response and properly frame the prospects before offering them the service;

  • Implement, launch, watch, monitor, and adjust campaigns in operation to ensure the best results and most effective use of marketing funds and resources;

  • Work with the rest of our team (business analysts and software makers) to ensure that the company's internal systems will enable the results to be effectively realized;

  • Do anything else that will be necessary for your results to be accomplished.
 Requirements

We have a tight business to run and our jobs require a certain commitment to results and willingness to accept responsibility for the individual actions on the part of our employees. Therefore, we require our candidates to:
  • Understand that an activity by itself is useless unless it produces a useful outcome;

  • Be ready to self-organize and self-manage and make own decisions about what to do in order to deliver the result;

  • Be willing to re-examine approaches and methods when results suggest that current approaches aren't working;

  • Be willing to endure hard work to achieve success and not expect instant gratification;

  • Approach matters rigorously and analytically;

  • Act on the above.

This job will require the following experience and skills:

  • Understanding of direct response marketing principles;

  • Experience in making effective marketing campaigns (online and offline) for small businesses that brought in closed deals;

  • Experience with niche market research and deep analysis of the business context involved in marketing and selling;

  • Various practical business experience.

The following skills and experience will help in being successful at this job:

  • Knowledge of Dan Kennedy's marketing principles;

  • Experience in creating persuasive and effective outreach and follow-up content to convert a prospect;

  • Experience in putting together effective sales and client retention processes to get the best return out of marketing.

 What We Offer
  • High Performance Oriented Management
The organization is consistently and constantly managed for performance and results. High performers are rewarded. Excuses are not accepted and employees who make them are ejected. Long, unnecessary, bloviating meetings do not exist. Direct, quick and clear feedback is given on everybody's work. The owner personally manages the business and there is little to no middle management present. If you prove yourself to be a reliable and effective employee, you will have all the necessary authority, resources, etc. made available to you in order to deliver your results
  • Results Based Compensation Schedule
This job's compensation plan will consist of a base pay and a revenue share/commission bonus. Our arrangements with clients are revenue share based and you will receive a piece of that revenue share once you deliver on results. Base pay will be sufficient for you to provide basic support for yourself, but it is expected that you will make most of your earnings through bonuses.
  • Work on Your Own Time
You can work from anywhere and at a time that best suits your preferences provided that you can deliver results. There isn't a 9-5 or any other hourly schedule in place and there are no time logs made. There also do not exist any time-wasting activities and everybody's time is respected. That being said, the amount of work that you'll need to put in to get results will by all means make this a full time job and require a full time professional commitment from you.
  • Opportunities to Practically Develop and Enhance Your Expertise
We work with many complex and niche companies and our marketing approach requires a deep dive and understanding of their industry in detail, which you will develop quickly. You will have the opportunity to test out various marketing approaches and tactics and practically learn from what you are doing.
  • Growth Within Our Organization
Our organization is dynamic, growing, and quite new. Employees who prove themselves to be responsible, effective, and motivated will have the opportunities to take increasing responsibilities as the company develops.

 Our Hiring Process

Our candidate selection process is designed to objectively assess people's ability to deliver. We do not have long and pointless rounds of interviews filled with hypothetical questions and we do not make decisions solely by looking at somebody's resume. Instead, we follow the below sequence:

1. Job Application Form.

2. Pre-Screening Online Skills Assessment.

3. Short Interview.

4. Practical Test Assignment.

5. Evaluation of the Assignment and Decision on Hire.

 (Part Time, Remote, Ongoing)

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive AWS administration experience to help our team to have well functioning architecture and deployment for our software solutions. We are in need of a mature, self-organized, and Senior level professional.

 What We Do

We work with niche companies to restructure and automate their operation so that their businesses can grow sustainably and quickly. We do that by effectively analyzing their business, streamlining their operational processes, and putting in place an effective automation software solution to run the company operations.

We have a very elaborate business analysis and design process which allows us to control requirements and prevent scope creeps from occurring. Therefore, our Tech Team is expected to deliver a large amount of projects in a quick amount of time - and it is vital for us to have the best DevOps and infrastructure to enable that to happen.

We normally build complex custom solutions that consist of:
  • Front-end and Back-end Web Apps that we run on Amazon AWS. It is essential for us to best optimize the AWS resource and its services (such as Lambda, RDS, Cognito, etc..) to deliver solutions that are of high quality and scalability and can be built and deployed fast.

  • Customized CRM and ERP systems built on the Zoho Platform and heavily connected into our custom apps.

  • Programmable telephony (based on Vonage platform) that we heavily connect into our custom solutions.

Project-to-project, our solutions end up having reusable pieces that we can use (e.g.back end integrations), and it is essential that our infrastructure allows us to easily support and utilize that to our advantage.

 What We Need From You

We will need you as a DevOps Engineer to provide us with the high quality infrastructure that will enable us to effectively run our business and deliver, maintain, and scale our software solutions that we implement in our client businesses.

We will be allowing you a fair amount of autonomy in how you exercise your role and intend to structure our arrangement with a monthly base/retainer and a bonus for every project that we successfully launch and deliver with you, incentivizing you to most effectively use your expertise to enable us to accomplish our business goals.

The execution of your role will include the following:
  • Administer AWS Infrastructure, including provisioning and security;

  • Monitor the AWS Infrastructure;

  • Assist developers with best practices in architecting solutions in the AWS cloud;

  • Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management scripts;

  • Assist developers with code deployments in all environments;

  • Participate in the creation, setup, and execution of performance tests;

  • Build, maintain and monitor configuration standards;

  • Perform database-related activities;

  • Work together with developers and QA engineers to help improve pre-release testing;

  • Participate in release planning activities;

  • Help manage risks that may affect scope of a release;

  • Do other things that you will deem necessary to effectively deliver on the result.

 Expectations and Requirements

We expect all of our team members to be:
  • Responsible and serious professionals capable of consistently delivering high quality;

  • Good and Effective Communicators;

  • Willing to re-examine their approaches when current approaches aren't working.

For this position, we will expect the candidate to have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS is required; familiarity deploying and operating applications in AWS including EC2, SQS, EBS, IAM, RDS, ELB, Elasticache and the AWS APIs;

  • Agile Principles / Continuous Integration / Continuous Release;

  • Cloud/Data Center Administration;

  • Knowledge of Travis-CI;

  • Automation/configuration management using Terraform;

  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service requirements;

  • Versatile scripter for administration, operations, and monitoring tasks;

  • Competent and active proponent of DevOps principles.

Hiring Process

We intend to hire the best capable professional for this position in the most effective way, while making effective use of both your and our time. We do not intend to hold long, drawn out interviews, and rather will prefer to evaluate candidates by their abilities. To make it happen, the following hiring process will be used:

  1. Job Application Form.

  2. Automated Online Skills Assessment.

  3. Interview.

  4. Paid Practical Assignment.

Pathable, Inc. is hiring senior full-stack JavaScript developers to join our nomadic team of software engineers. We're building from the ground up the second version of our industry-leading mobile/web application in Meteor and React.

Live and work from anywhere, while learning new things, working on a product thousands of people love to use every day.

Our company is successful, self-funded, profitable, twenty people strong, and growing. We've developed a fantastic culture that embraces adventure in business, engineering and lifestyle. Please join us!

About Us

Pathable (pathable.com) is the leading provider of community software for conferences, tradeshows, events, and associations. Our software serves in-person, virtual, and hybrid events of all shapes and sizes -- we're improving the entire experience of attending and throwing complex virtual events and in-person conferences. Though we develop products delivered over the Internet, as a nearly 12-year-old profitable company, we're not quite a startup anymore.

We're fortunate to have room to innovate and experiment as we develop new products and services. Managed and majority-owned by the original founders, we've got the freedom to chart our own course -- our only influence is what's best for our customers.

From the beginning, our culture has supported and embraced remote workers. We don't have an office and the Pathable family lives or is traveling in over 10 countries. Our members enjoy more time with their children, living in remote and unusual places, or exploring the world; all while growing professionally and building things about which they are proud.

We're building features in our recently finished new version, it was built from the ground up, using the latest tools available at the time, integrated everything we've learned from nearly 15 years of product development to the same market.

What We're Building

We have a single product composed of five different Meteor applications including a Mobile Native app.

We use Meteor, MongoDB, React and related technology to develop our second-generation Meteor based web and mobile application. Our team includes core committers to Meteor and we lovingly embrace open source contributions to a variety of projects.

We deploy code weekly, often daily, to our AWS-based Galaxy clusters.

We use constraint solvers to model and solve complex scheduling problems.

We test everything with Cypress.

While we don't code pair, we aggressively review each others code via pull requests and video presentations.

We use TargetProcess and Slack, with frequent video calls via Zoom or Google Hangouts.

And much more!

About You

You love working with JavaScript, React, NodeJS, and related technologies; you have at least three years of professional working experience developing products using these technologies.

You've probably contributed to open source software.

You love to learn new technologies and embrace change. You are open to whatever technology, processes or techniques will improve your ability to deliver high-quality software as quickly as possible.

You thrive in a remote working environment where you may never meet your co-workers in person; you go wherever you want. You want complete control over your development and working environment. You understand how essential clear, consistent communication is when working remotely -- ambiguity makes you uncomfortable.

You enjoy vigorously defending what you know to be right as much as you enjoy being wrong when the best answer wins. You're loath to have your co-workers discover bugs you've missed.

You'll write beautiful, well-tested JavaScript both in the browser and on the server. You'll improve quality and reliability by bug hunting and writing Cypress tests.

You'll work directly with people in the entire company to design core product features, which you'll release and see used by hundreds of thousands of users.

Benefits

  • Accrued paid vacation
  • Paid holidays
  • Full medical+dental benefits for US workers
  • Medical insurance stipend for non-US workers
  • Yearly self-improvement stipend
  • Monthly stipend for co-working space

How To Apply & Code Challenge

Please first attempt our coding challenge and then apply here.

We use GitHub Classroom so that feedback from each of our developers who review your submission will be shared with you via pull request review.

It has been an effective strategy, and has worked well for us.

  • Returning emails to potential buyers who are looking at using our marketplace, but still have questions about our process
  • Working closely with our Senior Business Analysts to set up our Buyer-Seller Conference Calls

As a Business Analyst, you will support our Senior Business Analysts as they negotiate deals that are win-wins for both our buyers and sellers.

All about us

We are Biteable, a tech start-up that makes (jaw-dropping) videos possible for everyone. We stand apart in our market thanks to our dedication to studio-quality content and our passion for simplicity.

Since our launch in 2014 we’ve:
  • Created a community of over 6 million users
  • Rendered more than 10 million videos
  • Raised $3.9 million in venture capital
We’re growing fast and have offices in Melbourne and Hobart, Australia, with remote team members scattered around the world. We are informal, structurally flat, and fun to work with.

A little more about our culture

Biteable is a bit of rarity. Everyone genuinely cares about each other. When asked, they use words like these to describe their colleagues: rigorous, respectful, open, supportive, honest, and egoless.

Don't just take our word for it, though. Here are a few quotes that we didn't make up:

“I’m thankful for the flexibility Biteable gives me around my family commitments. I really like that my team is open to new ideas and processes. And I enjoy that I get to work on a variety of problems with a mix of people with diverse areas of expertise.”

“The development team is a great group of people. They’re smart and interested in doing high-quality work, but foster a social and supportive atmosphere, too.”

“Biteable's team of smart, funny, engaged, and caring people makes my work here enjoyable, every day. Being close to decisions and decision-makers helps me make an impact on our work.”

“At Biteable, you’re given the support and flexibility you need to do your best work in a way that suits your lifestyle. I’m continuously impressed by this team’s skill and unwavering passion. But what’s more, is that everyone operates with kindness, respect, and a great sense of humor.”

The Dream Job For A Front‑End Developer?

You’ve finally found it…

The perfect job for a talented front-end developer like you.

But who are we?

iPhone Photography School is the world's leading iPhone photography resource. In fact, we're one of the most successful online education companies of any kind.

But we're just getting started…

We’re about to revolutionize online education by creating the most engaging online courses in the world. And we’re well on our way to accomplish this ambitious goal...

You’ll see proof as you scroll down this page.

Of course, we can’t deliver a great learning experience without great front-end development.

And that’s why we want to hire another front-end developer. But what’s in it for you?

7 Reasons To Join iPhone Photography School As A Front-End Developer

1. Create World-Class Tech Solutions

We create our own tech solutions to specifically meet the needs of our customers.

For example, we’ve built an industry-leading checkout system and our own online learning platform. Redesigning our website using AMP is the next big project in our backlog.

We already have over a hundred thousand photographers as paying customers. At this scale, even small improvements in the front end will lead to massive benefits for our company.

That’s why you’ll never have to lower your standards to meet an unrealistic deadline.

Join our team, and you'll be able to do the best work of your life!

2. Only Work On Front-End Development

You've spent years honing your CSS and Javascript skills.

Why would you waste your time on tasks that have nothing to do with the front end?

All designs will be created by our talented in-house designer.

Our back-end team will handle DevOps, and they’ll be available whenever you need them.

By focusing on what you do best, you’ll become the best developer you can be!

3. Exceptional Dev Team That Really Works

Our five-person dev team really knows how to deliver the best results possible.

You’ll get to plan your own tasks carefully while getting regular guidance from our CTO.

You’ll always have enough time to write clean code and implement automated tests. We know that investing more time up front will result in less work and fewer bugs in the long run.

Your work will be planned in weekly Scrum sprints, and you’ll set your own deadlines.

Apply now, and you’ll become a part of an exceptional team that really works!

4. Millions Of People Will Use Your Work

There are over 1.7 billion websites online. Unfortunately, 99.9% of them will never have a significant user base because there are so many alternatives to choose from.

It's frustrating to put months (or years) of work into a project that very few people will use.

But that won’t happen in our company. Last month, our website received 1,098,625 unique visitors. And we already have 157,563 paying customers who take our online courses.

Join our team, and your work will directly benefit all these people!

5. Stability You Can Count On

Most startups have huge ambitions – but little or no revenue.

If you've spent years of your life in an exciting new project that never really took off, you already know how frustrating it can be.

Rather than burning investor money, iPhone Photography School has been highly profitable for years. We’ve never taken investor money. Our rapid growth has been funded by sales.

You won’t have to worry about our company running out of money.

6. Perks That Make A Difference

To get the best results, we have to offer the best possible work conditions.

Things like a top-of-the-line laptop, automated solutions for repetitive tasks, and investing in your education make your work more valuable. So providing them is a no-brainer for us.

We also want you to have a sense of belonging to our team. Even if you work remotely, you'll get to meet your coworkers in person at our regular team retreats.

Whether it's rafting through the wilderness, sailing to a remote island, or participating in an ancient sauna ritual, you’ll remember these adventures for years to come.

7. Join A Company You Truly Believe In

Many people don't believe that their company creates a positive impact on the world.

But our company is different. We help millions of people take better photos. And we make the most beautiful online courses in the world (you can watch a sample video below).

Every week we receive hundreds of heartfelt thank-you notes from our students saying we helped fill their lives with the joy of photography.

Join us, and you'll work for a company you truly believe in.

Here’s What We Expect From You
  • You’re excellent at creating cross-browser compatible responsive user interfaces
  • You can deliver efficient, easy-to-maintain, and scalable CSS code
  • You're proficient in CSS preprocessors and BEM methodology
  • You have significant experience with any of the modern JS frameworks (we use Vue.js)
  • You have excellent attention to detail

This is a full-time position. You can do this job from anywhere in the world – including your home, our beautiful office in Riga, Latvia, or any paradise location.

Find Out If You Qualify

If you delay submitting your application, someone else will be hired before you.
